More drawings~
Using Sai, I've been setting the brush opacity to about 40-50 and just drawing the sketch and lineart all on one layer instead of doing them separate. It saves time AND I feel like it keeps some of the motion and expression my sketches have but regular lined drawings often seem to lack.
Whatever, this is more fun. =w=

1. Sobe and the family pet, Raur. Mourks don't naturally come in that color, Sobe's mother ordered him from a genetic lab. He was modified to match her color, sort of a fancy living status symbol of her extreme wealth. It's kinda like if the Hilton or Kennedy family had a tiger engineered to be completely docile and a complementary color. =w=;;

You'll probably be seeing a lot more of her. I'm trying to finish one thing at a time, but this story keeps catching at my free time and dragging me in. :/
I wonder how real writers deal with this sort of thing...

2. Tesk just enjoying a cheese-flavored lollipop while an alarmed young nanuran wonders what kind of fur that collar is made from...

3. A necromancer is defeated by a brave(…ish) band of heroes right before he can implement his plot to destroy the world, but luckily he had a failsafe to bring him back to life. Unluckily it was damaged by the rats he kept around for ambience and now he’s just an animated skull. It’s up to Maxwell’s loyal raven familiar to help him reach his witch sister for help before the spell tethering his soul to this world fails.
Alas, said familiar is easily distracted by shiny objects and roadkill.

4. This is another simply designed character that I draw constantly(and what do you know? She has like 4 colors and no finicky details. I think I am starting to detect a pattern). Only in my sketchbook though, I think this is the first she’s scurried into my DA. Chiuri is the protagonist of a fanfic or comic that will take place in Diane Duanes’ Young Wizards universe, although it follows original characters.
As the first rat wizard, it’s up to Chi to navigate her species’ Choice on the side of the Powers That Be… Even if such a thing can only be called a choice on a technicality.
Darkness-dwellers; greedy, sly, and fierce. Rats have been groomed by the lone power for its own nefarious purposes for so long that many wizards consider them lost even before their Choice. How can a single escaped feeder rat hope to bring out the best of her kind and defeat an entity that already rules so much of their(and her) being?
